The Seattle Scooter Meetup Group* Monthly Meetup

The latest weather forecast is positive for Wednesday. We'll get a little rain activity on Monday and Tuesday to cool off the extreme temperatures and it'll be back to dry and the upper 70s on Wednesday, perfect evening riding weather. Come join us for a scenic tour through the byways of North Seattle and Magnolia with a stop for dinner at Maggie's Bluff at the Elliott Bay Marina.

Meetup for socializing and coffee at Cafe Racer at 6PM, ride out around 6:30PM.

Good weather, longer rides, cold or wet, shorter rides. Check back closer to the ride for details about the route and where we will end up for dinner. We do longer rides in the summer when it's light later and shorter rides in the winter when it's colder and dark. We end up at an inexpensive restaurant where we can hang out for a while and visit, however staying is optional. We ride rain or shine, however if it's raining we tend to stick to the north end of Seattle to avoid bridge crossings. All Seattle Scooter Meetup rides are suitable for all sizes of scooters, from mopeds to maxis and for riders of all experience levels. We always end up at a restaurant or pub, but staying to eat or hang out afterward is optional. Your co-organizers, Alex & Melinda

Alex and I don't do rides on weekends because Alex works. But anyone who wants to use this Meetup group to organize a ride can ask to be made an event organizer. That will give you access to all the Meetup tools to set up and publicize an event. We want this Meetup to belong to the whole scooter community.

Hi Sebastian--did you find some other rides? Our friend who works for the ferries send me some photos of lots of scooters taking the ferry this weekend. I'm self-employed and don't have a regular schedule. Sometimes I work weekends. But the main problem is, I don't drive so I'm scooter passenger but not a rider on my own. I'll see if I can get Alex to post some of the routes he plans for scooter rides. Then other members can reuse or modify the routes to make their own rides without needing to start from scratch.

Hi Melinda, this is Yuri. Haven't heard of any rides lately and decided to open the website and found the ride for this evening. I'll be there for sure. Why am I not receiving any e/m about rides- is there a technical prob or? Look fiorward to seeing you all. Hope Alex' job at the Fiat is going well - what a talented guy he really is.

Hi Yuri--I'm not sure why you're not getting the Meetup announcements. I didn't see anything wrong with your account on the admin side. You can check your account settings to make sure you haven't turned off messages from this group. Sorry I missed the ride. It sounded like a good one. I had a meeting that ran long. Trying to solve the problems with Washington State Ferries.

What a great evening for a ride! 14 years and still hasn't ever rained on one of our rides!

Amazing! How do you do that? Is there a secret Seattle anti-rain dance? Thanks for another great tour last night. Ed
