Rode a Yamaha Riva '82-'87, now an Apprilia Scarabeo. We used to take the Riva shopping at the Pike Place Market and ride home with me sitting on the back holding a couple bags of veggies on each arm.
I like that they have a smaller environmental footprint than cars. Scooters are great way to travel and you never have to search for a parking spot. Did I mention how much you save your gas bill?
I ride an Apprilia Scarabeo. Oddly enough, I don't drive (weird brain/vision glitch), so I ride only as a passenger.
I started as organizer of the Seattle Scooter Meetup Group when Alex and I had our scooter shop, Scooter Gallery Seattle. The shop is closed now, but we still ride our scooter (no car) and enjoy getting together with all our scooter friends.
