It's a go for today. It's a good opportunity for us to learn for when conditions are not optimal. Come out today.

    October 19, 2012

    • Mike T.

Is there a "rain date" or is it "rain or shine"?

      October 19, 2012

  • Hal W.

Hope there is no rain tomorrow,I can dress for the cold & wind but rain could make me a no show.I am hoping for the best. With luck we can get this done, all things being equal we will see you all tomorrow. PS any semi soft food is good for me :)

There's not a whole lot of food choice right in the area of the church we'll be using so I'd suggest either ordering food in or bringing our own. There's a Tim's up on Woolwich St. - I think that's about it.

    October 14, 2012

    • Michele

You mean the wife can pick up don't you? ;)

      October 15, 2012

    • Mike T.

I'm up for fish n chips.

      October 15, 2012

  • Norm

The wife is soooo good at it!!

    October 15, 2012

  • Michele

Well, I was thinking about BBQ not far and I can run down if people are interested. It is called Woody's. let me know.

    October 14, 2012

    • Tet

There is a pretty good fish and chips place not far away, Golden Fish & Chips, we could call for a take out order. Generous servings! I could bring a mixture of pop to go with it:)??

      October 14, 2012

  • Michele

What would people like to do for lunch? I would imagine we would want something warm. We can bring our own lunches or do our own thing or I could order food from a local place and pick it up.
Let me know whatch ya's want.

I think this is a great idea.I am not an expert rider by any stretch so this course will help even if I only learn a couple of new moves.I hope to be a safer rider after this,I am looking forward to it.Hope the weather co - operates, this has been a awful month for rides.See you all there.

    October 11, 2012

  • Michele

Yes, that would make things easier for me for you to give your money to Nick that day.

    September 30, 2012

  • Mike T.

Can I also just pay for the course at that time?

    September 30, 2012

  • Michele

Good Question. It is paid to Nick Perrella (he is the club treasurer) and can be paid on the scooter training date as he will be there.

    September 30, 2012

  • Mike T.

Where can I find details about membership dues?

    September 30, 2012

  • Michele

We are using New Life Christian Reformed Church's parking lot but also the building itself for bathroom, lunch etc. Thanks to Tet for arranging this.

    September 30, 2012

  • Michele

Yes last minute is ok if there are spots available.

    September 27, 2012

  • Bonita E.

I am working that day.If the course is not full and I am able to
get the day off(work at hospital)could I still join
    last minute?
If not I would love to take this course .Maybe come back another time.
I have a small automatic motorcycle.

    September 27, 2012

  • Michele

Confirmation of a location in Guelph at the Christian Reformed Church, we will have access to the building for bathroom break, lunch and instructional time.

    September 25, 2012

  • Ivan I.

Great idea! I'd love to attend but I could be away for work. Will they accept a motorcycle?

    September 13, 2012

THis is all the stuff my grandfather didn't tell me about riding a scooter. I am looking forward to a rewarding morning.

Tentatively we are looking at Oct. 20th for the training course. If this conflicts let me know asap as Pekka works weekends as well.

    September 2, 2012

  • Mike T.

When I was getting my M1 a few years ago, I went searching for scooter training. I couldn't find anything except for motorcycle training. I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks for setting it up.

Michele if it is anything like the courses I have taken....well worth the time. I'd encourage as many people as possible to take it as a refresher course or for new riders. Great job on organizing something for the group Michele.

    August 22, 2012

    • Michele

Thanks Christina, I think it is important to always look for learning opportunities when handling a bike, I never want to think I know it all already that is when mistakes happen.

      August 22, 2012

  • Michele

Date dependent on our interest level and his schedule. As soon as we have interest I will contact him for some dates. Then scouting out a location in Guelph.
