Can you confirm that you have read the "About Scottish Hillwalking & Activities Group" section of the website available by clicking on the "Pages" menu option or at http://www.meetup.com/scottish-hillwalkers/about/ ?

Yes

Please give some indication of your walking experience, i.e. total beginner, just local hills, Munros (roughly how many), winter experience, scrambling, foreign trips?

Can you indicate your rock climbing experience (if not relevant please put "None") - i.e. how long have you been climbing, how current are you, types of climbing, rough grades and some idea of equipment held.

What kind of walks/climbs would you like to do?

I like a real mixture of walks, but prefer long days out in the hill, so I suppose ridges are high on the agenda. If there's scrambling involved then that's a definite plus. But most of all I love winter walking and the stunning mountains of Scotland is a perfect place to get it done.

Where are your favourite or preferred places for walking/climbing?

Anywhere above the tree line, but the west coast definitely comes up a favourite, so Torridon, Lochaber, Kintail, Assynt and Skye. Oh! and the Great Glen and Cairngorms so I suppose 'any where in Scotland' would be the short answer

What Ross is saying about this Meetup Group

It's been 2 3/4 great years walking with everybody in the group, their enthusiasm for all thing mountainous is infectious, and the standard of walking high. The variety of walks on offer means there's something for everyone no matter whether you're a beginner or a seasoned mountaineer. That and the fact I have never had a single moment where I have not felt perfectly safe walking with the group in both Summer and Winter conditions, makes this an ideal group to join for all your walking needs.
