Friday Noodles & Scrabble!

Hi Scrabblers! First a few notes:

  • Dueling Scrabble was fun! Thanks again to everyone that joined in, it's helpful to know some other locations that appeals to players. Also, Saturday turned out to be a good day for lots of folks, so expect to see it in future schedules!
  • Several meetups ago, someone left a windbreaker at Noodles. If you think its yours, let me know what color it is, and we'll figure out how to get it back to you.
  • This will be the first meetup where I will be collecting $1 from the attendees. No stress or double-checking, just a money jar and a request that players be honest about their contributions (you can pay next time if you don't have it, or you can pay for future meetups, etc).
  • Have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend!

Now...Time again for Friday Night Scrabble! One of our most popular Scrabble nights, we hope you all are able to come out and bring a friend if you like. We'll be back at our beloved Noodles and Company in Pentagon Row (Metro: Pentagon City). Usual start time of 6pm and as always, if you're a little late you may have to wait for a new game to begin. But, that will leave time to eat, drink and get to know your fellow Scrabblers. If you have a board and/or dictionary and/or cheat sheet, please bring those along. We also now play Bananagrams, Scrabble Slam and Super Scrabble. Hope to see you there!

Directions from Metro: Come up into the Pentagon City Fashion Center from the Metro (that's a left turn once you come through the turnstiles). Once you go through Fashion Center doors and up the escalator, keep heading straight, towards the parking garage. (You'll pass a Chevy Chase Bank on your left, food court on the right). Go through the garage, turn left when you can't walk anymore, go up the stairs and cross over into Pentagon Row.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
