Oct - Halloween Special!! JAMIE NASH from Lovely Molly Speaks to our group!!

Hey everyone!! We have an exciting "HALLOWEEN MEETUP" planned for our October meeting!! Maryland Screenwriter Jamie Nash of "Lovely Molly", "Altered", and "ParaAbnormal" will be our Guest Speaker!!

Jamie is the writer of the horror/Sci-Fi film ALTERED (distributed by Rogue Pictures), co-director/writer of the Christmas horror comedy TWO FRONT TEETH, the writer of the in-production feature I WAS A SEVENTH GRADE DRAGONSLAYER (starring Lea Thompson) and shares story by credit on the feature SEVENTH MOON (starring Amy Smart) for Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures. He's the creator of the ghost hunting webseries ParaAbnormal and co-writer of the graphic novel BLACKBEARD: LEGEND OF THE PYRATE KING.

Jamie Nash is a working screenwriter who lives in Maryland and primarily writes genre films — horror, supernatural, fantasy, etc. He has a strong working relationship with Eduardo Sánchez, co-director of The Blair Witch Project — they have collaborated on a number of projects — the films Altered, Seventh Moon and Exists, and the comedy web series ParaAbnormal.

Jamie and Ed’s latest film is

Lovely Molly

, an intense horror thriller about the possession of a young woman told via a mix of standard narrative and “found” footage. The film is currently in theaters in a limited release, after playing the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and South by Southwest film festival. It is also on DVD and VOD in wider release.

Jamie will be speaking with our group about his screenwriting career, and screenwriting in general!!  So please don't miss this one!!  Bring your questions - and see you on Tuesday!!

One of the key things I came away with from this meeting was the reality of agents vs. managers and the more ideas (log-lines) the better! So I have 6 and working towards 100. Thanks Jamie and fellow members awesome nigh! Let's keep the writing juices flowing! Peace, Tony

It was one of our best!! Jamie spoke openly and warmly to our group - about his screenwriting career. And it's so valuable and encouraging to hear what screenwriting life is like from the perspective of a local and successful screenwriter. An AMAZING night!!

Really good gathering. One of the best, in fact. Really good information about so many aspects of both the business and creative sides of screenwriting. Jamie was a wonderful speaker. Thanks Elena, for getting him to speak to us and thank you Jamie for taking the time.
