***Meeting are at the SIEGEN CC's every Tuesday.***
What is the Coffee Shop Writing Group?
We are not a critique group.
We are not a workshop group.
We are a group of writers who get together to...just write.
This is a group that meets to WRITE and to offer encouragement and inspiration to others as we practice our craft. We're focused on the process, not the product. Writing can be a solitary activity...but it doesn't have to be.
This is a group where the focus is actually on DOING the work as opposed to critiquing already finished works. So if you need motivation to get started, set a writing schedule, keep at it, or finish that screenplay, this group is for you.
We meet on Thursdays at CC's on Siegen.
Writing starts whenever you like. I'll try to always be there at 5:30, which is when we recommend starting writing.
Conversation starts at 7:00.
At 7:00, we can find each other by the "Screenwriters Down South" logo on my silver Toshiba laptop. It is written in bold letters that are easy see.
If for some reason my work runs late and I'm not there by 5:30 (which I expect to be rarely), feel free to grab your coffee and get started. I will join you. If another SDS organizer meets in my place one night, they will bring a sign or an indication so you will know how to find them.
Hope to see you all soon! Keep writing!
