Screenplay Format Mechanics, Share 3-5 Pages of Original Work

  • September 20, 2014 · 9:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our focus is on a clean, well-formatted script that is ready for final reader reviews/analysis or competition ready scripts.  We will review proper use of Scene Headings, Narrative, Dialogue, Parentheticals/Wrylies, Telephone, Computer, O.S. V.O., etc.

The group will also discuss 3-5 pages of original work or Act I of an original screenplay.  In order to expect group member feedback, a member must submit their work at least 1 week prior to the meet up.

Good to review other's work and great info/sources on formatting.

Gotta bow out for this Saturday, too. Complications have ensued that require my attention.

Reminder to review pages and submit feedback to authors before tomorrow mornings meetup (hopefully!). Pages are in the[masked]-Pages.zip file in the Files section of the meetup page (More | Files). Download, read, comment in the PDF and email your comments back to the respective authors.

What about the drop box? Is this a change of procedure?

    September 12

    • Brian M.

No. This meetup has not used dropbox previously. We used email to share files but will probably lean on the meet-up file section to share pages going forward.

Hi all. Where should we submit the 3-5 pages of work to?

    September 11

    • Brian M.

[masked]. If you are interested in participating in the pages potluck, please send us an email!

      Just did right now! thanks!

If you are interested in participating in the pages swap for September, please send them to [masked] in the next few days. If you do not have pages but would like to help your fellow writers by reading and providing feedback, then please send an e-mail to [masked] so we know where to send them. We would like to get pages sent out for review ASAP so that people have time to read and provide feedback PRIOR to the meetup. That way we can maximize our time at the meetup discussing the reviewed pages as a group. If you have any questions, shoot Cheryl, myself, or the [masked] address.

Please send in your 3-5 pages (soon!) in either PDF or Fountain (plain text) format.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
