Dove a great deal in years past. Certified around '72 or '73 thru the YMCA. Grew up diving north Gulf Coast mainly, some Keys and Bahamas. Got what I suppose is the equivilent to Dive Master, but the certification structure was so different back then. I mainly helped with the overflow of class dives at Southern Skin Divers Supply in Birmingham. Need to update and refresh skills, an ongoing process.
I was part of a dive club in Birmingham that helped sink some huge Liberty ship life boats off the Alabama Gulf Coast for reef formation, sometime in the '80s. It was a long term and very interesting project. I learned a lot.
Pompano beach dives, often at Blue Heron Bridge, Keys
AOW, need Nitrox.
My daughter and I are divers, still fairly new to the area, looking for friends and of course some great dives.
What an awesome group of people. I walked in and felt "ahhhh, I found Home."
