Laura has arranged a special event for this month's 5th Wednesday. It's make a glass yarn bowl night at BAGI. The cost to blow a glass yarn bowl is $99 per person. Those that don't want to get that close to the hot furnace can watch from the sidelines (it is fascinating to watch). If you don't want to work with glass, you can of course still come and knit at no cost.
Laura will need to know how many of you are going to be making a bowl so we are asking for RSVP's no later than 5 days ahead. The night is starting earlier to allow time for a demonstration and to make the bowl. Those purchasing the class can pay that night with credit card/cash. However, we really do need a tight count so we have the supplies ready. An accurate RSVP is much more important this time.
Since this location does not have food, please bring something to share. If you know what you're bringing, note it in the comments so we can try to have some variety in food and drink. I have napkins, plastic utensils, bowls and about 10 paper plates that I can bring. Someone will need to bring disposable cups and more plates if we have over 10 people.
Those that are attending and making bowls should need to wear cotton clothing with sleeves on their shirts and closed toe shoes for safety. No sandals or flip flops. Please email Laura, our host, if you have any additional questions. Treg Silkwood BAGI's main artist will be teaching the class. BAGI's website is: www.bagi.org.
