Introduction
I live in Cupertino, and am a fairly new knitter so I am sticking to simple things (shawl, baby blanket) for now. I like meeting up with other knitters.
How long have you been knitting? New enthusiast or old hand? What are your favorite knitting techniques these days?
I'm pretty new - only been knitting for about 4 months.
What kind of objects do you like to knit? Do you keep 'em, sell 'em or give 'em away?
I've knitted a shawl for myself (so if it was too bad I wouldn't be upset), and I'm knitting a baby blanket for charity (if I can get it done on time). I'd like to make a shawl for my mom.
How did you start knitting? Who taught you and how did you catch the bug?
I'm a quilter (machine), and I wanted a craft that was more portable. I took a beginning 1 hour class while my husband & I were vacationing in Pacific Grove, and I was hooked!
What is one topic you want to learn more about in knitting or fiber arts, and why?
I have so much to learn, that it's hard to list one thing! I'd like to learn how to make those cute little knitted animals.
