How long have you been knitting? New enthusiast or old hand? What are your favorite knitting techniques these days?

10+ years of self-taught knitting. I started with "I Can't Believe I'm Knitting" purchased at Uncommon Threads, and the rest is history.

What kind of objects do you like to knit? Do you keep 'em, sell 'em or give 'em away?

Socks, sweaters, shawls, hats, scarves... some I keep, some I give away, mostly to family and friends so far.

How did you start knitting? Who taught you and how did you catch the bug?

See earlier response. As a child I had hand knit mittens, hats, and a few sweaters. My knitting really picked up after seeing Yarn Harlot in Los Altos. Until then, I had only done sweaters and a hot water bottle cover.

What is one topic you want to learn more about in knitting or fiber arts, and why?

Continental and backwards knitting...I hear they come in handy.

Hi: I'm Anne, YarnHunter on Ravelry. I dropped in on the October meeting in Cupertino and had fun, so I thought I'd join up. Looking forward to future meetings.
