No introduction yet
I began knitting this January, to fulfill a New Year's resolution that I would teach myself to knit from from my daughter's "Klutz" book. I have almost completed my first scarf, and while I know that sounds generic, it has been great practice for checking my gauge.
Well, my next project will be the matching hat. However, a new knitter told me that the first project's a keeper, but after that it's more fun to knit for others.
I interviewed someone for a project on health and well-being who described knitting as, "It's the in thing now." I wasn't looking to be fashionable, just wondered why so many people found it relaxing and personally satisfying. I felt I was missing out, and that it would be a fun way to socialize with other constructive people.
I have my eye on a poncho project that combines different quality yarns for visual texture, so I would say building on my basic techniques in more imaginative ways.
