Love computer RPGs -- and have the D&D books (3.5) -- but haven't had a chance to play much in the past year. Looking forward to it.
D&D. Call of Cthulhu.
I have been aware of RPGs since the 1970s -- and have played interactive fiction and computer RPGs since then. I got the D&D 3.5 books a few years ago -- and bought the some Call of Cthulhu books -- but haven't really been a social gamer.
I remember a friend from High School showing up with the original D&D books back in the 1970s. At the time, I couldn't fathom playing a game on just paper by using imaginations and not having a winner declared within an hour.
I've done some really off-rules GMing with my son and some of his neighborhood friends -- and although I'm sure I made it fun for them, I made some rules up along the way! :)
Sure. It must be fun for everyone or else why play?
