Happy Hump Day Ride to Pearl of the Pacific

Our October 2 Happy Hump Day Ride will take us to the very tip of Shelter Island to Pacific Rim Park, highlighted by artist James T. Hubbell’s ‘Pearl of the Pacific.’  For more information on this unique symbol of peace and international cooperation, click the link.

We meet at Claire de Lune at 6 p.m. and take off on our ride at 6:30 p.m.

Our return ride will feature splendid views of the San Diego skyline by night.

We’ll return to North Park, and those who wish can join us at Toronado for post-ride toast and grub.  There is an effort under way in the community to make Toronado more ‘LGBTQ-friendly.’ What better way tthan to invade it with a bunch of happy gay scooterists?  :)

If that’s not your cup of tea, then proudly pro-LGBTQ Redwing Bar & Grill is right next door.

Here’s a Google map of our route:  http://goo.gl/maps/gJRYo

This ride is hosted by the San Diego Sqooterheads for LGBTQ scooterists and their friends and allies. Who are the Sqooterheads? We're San Diego's all-inclusive LGBTQ scooter club. We welcome non-LGBTQ allies as well. Many of us also ride with the Scooter Squadron, Squadron riders are welcome to join our rides, and the Squadron has been a big supporter of us. Therefore, some of our major rides and events are listed on the Squadron Meetup site. We also have our own Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/sqoot/
