This month’s event is themed, "Know Your Roots," and is sponsored by Pathway Genomics, a San Diego based company offering the most secure, comprehensive, and affordable personal genomic information available. The event will take place at 7:00pm on July 16th at Caffe Calabria, located at 3933 30th Street, San Diego, CA 92104. Caffe Calabria will close to the public at 3:30 p.m., and reopen exclusively for our event. As part of their sponsorship, Pathway Genomics will be raffling off a Personal DNA Test (valued at $350), giving you insight into your ancestry, information about how medical treatments will best respond to your unique DNA profile, or other results for disease association. We are gathering at the The Currant (downtown), to celebrate, network, and to meet new people. The evening is sponsored by morefocus and the Sofia Hotel. As a result, we will have happy hour prices from 7:30-9:30pm, free appetizers, and a toast provided by the sponsors. Side note: I know. Some of you hate the downtown meetups. I will just say this: once in a while it's worth it to fight the parking, get dressed up, and deal with the overall madness-- this would be one of those times. =-D Get out, be social, come have fun!
