Bi-Weekly Event -- Thursday Games at Cafe Cabaret

Cafe Cabaret.

It seems like people are generally satisfied with this venue.  There are quite a few tables, and some large ones at that. Parking is fairly decent.  It's not too hot...  They close at a "flexible" 10pm. Their menu includes a good variety of things from coffees, teas, sodas; to sandwiches, crepes, desserts, etc.

We'll meet every other week.

Who's in? Come and play!

I still need input from the group.  Thanks to those of you who have commented to me in the past.  Please use the RATING SYSTEM after this event to let us know how you like the place!

THANKS for participating!

After what happened Weds at Fuddruckers where th eresponse was blame the victim (me) for not finding th group when there were no signs or persons by the entrance to direct us I am hesitant to go to another event

Cafe Cabaret is a smaller venue than Fuddruckers so you shouldn't have any problem finding us. We usually play at a certain table near the entrance.

I think it's a bit extreme to call yourself a "victim." You should know that none of our events have a sign at the entrance or someone standing around to direct you to the group. If you don't see the group when you walk in the door, talk to someone who works at the venue or walk around looking for people playing card or board games. (I know this makes finding our group a little challenging for people that are most of the introverted side, but we're really a fun bunch of people.)

Hi! Location is close, so I'm a maybe for this one- it depends on what last minute plans I may get in on for the 4th. So far it's just a 30 mile bike ride in the morning and an empty schedule for the rest of the day, so we'll see.

Thanks for the responses Daniel and Theresa. Daniel, may I ask, What weekend gatherings? The Sunday game day? - that used to be on adams and 35th I believe...where is it now? I might be up for hosting a *small* gathering of Pictionary players at my new apartment in Normal Heights...It would be a for-fun gathering rather than a really competitive one. Have fun on the fourth!

We do cross-over game events on the first and second Saturdays of the month and there is a game event every Sunday. We did used to meet at Lily's on Adams and 35th every other week until Lily's closed. Now the location changes every week. They are on the calendar, so you can RSVP there.

Thanks Adrian. I called them a few days ago, and they said they didn't know, they'd have to check, could I call back in a half hour... I called them back and another person said could I call back in an hour, they'd have to check... I forgot after being sidetracked...

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
