SDBG is Invited! Saturday Games in Bay Park with Phoenix Games Group!

Another Combined-Group Event!

The Phoenix Games Group invites members of San Diego Boardgames Group to join them for game nights on the SECOND Saturday of each month. The locations vary month-to-month, but time is always at 7pm. This is a BYOJF event.

PLEASE RSVP right away so we can get an idea of how many are interested. The address and phone will be provided later to those who RSVP "Yes". PLEASE NOTE: This host household may or may not include pets. This also is TBA.

PHOENIX GAMES GROUP is a San Diego group that has been playing games together for many years. They usually meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month; the locations vary (generally held in private homes). They take the name Phoenix from the bird, not from the city. This upcoming Saturday event, like most of their events, may include several kinds of games. There could be strategy games like Settlers of Catan and Zooloretto at one table, word games like Scrabble and My Word! at another table, party games like Taboo and Catch Phrase at yet another table. In other words, there should be a variety of games and game styles to fit your mood, much like our own game nights.

BYOJF? - Means BRING YOUR OWN JUNK FOOD, of course! This event is being hosted in a private home, not a restaurant where you can buy munchies. Any kind of snack foods/beverages to share are welcome (and usually demolished!)

Member-swapping could benefit both groups! Our members have attended many of the Phoenix events and it has worked out great! I've been posting their events here for our group on a regular basis. Of course, we'll want to welcome their members to join us too at our usual game nights.

Do any of us want to consider carpooling there? Post a note about it here in the event. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions/questions/problems. Thanks!   Randy

THU 07 Jul[masked]:30pm -- Stay informed! Watch for UPDATES. Some hosts will not post their address on the internet.  For events with no venue listed, an email will be sent the day of the event (and sometimes notices a day or two before) to the members who have RSVP'd YES. Sometimes a phone number will be listed -- please wait until around noon the day of the event, and if you do not receive the email with location information, please use the phone number at the top to contact the host right away. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE ADDRESS TO BE EMAILED. Thanks! Randy

Did you check your junk mail? Also, do you allow emails to be sent to you via Meetup? That's how I sent the information.

Hi Teresa, I got the confirmation but there was no actual street address. would you please resend? I will bring a couple of folding chairs.

I'm on the waitlist, but if I end up coming, I have 2 chairs for sure that I can bring and possibly 4 (sorry, I'm not at home right now and can't remember how many chairs our card table has.)

I just sent an email to the attendees and waitlist with the address. If you have any folding chairs you can bring, that would be helpful. I have enough chairs for about 20 people and we're at 20 here without the Phoenix people.

If you can bring chairs, post here and let me know how many.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
