Another Combined-Group Event!

The Phoenix Games Group invites members of San Diego Boardgames Group to join them for game nights on the SECOND Saturday of each month. The locations vary month-to-month, but the time is always at 7pm. This is a BYOJF* event.

PLEASE -- keep your RSVP for this event current. There are often several people on the waiting list. Changing your RSVP to "no" on the day of the event often means that someone who wanted to attend is not able to. (Remember, not everyone has a smart phone and has email access 24/7.)

Car pooling for these events is encouraged -- parking can often be somewhat limited depending on the neighborhood. Plus, the earth smiles when you car pool.

*BYOJF -- Means Bring Your Own Junk Food! This event is hosted in a private home, not a restaurant where you can buy munchies. Please bring a snack (for yourself and/or to share.) You are also encourage to bring something to drink -- we usually have lots of food, but the only beverage option once the Evil Queen's iced tea is gone is tap water.

GROUP HISTORY

PHOENIX GAMES GROUP is a San Diego group that has been playing games together for many years. They usually meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month; the locations vary (generally held in private homes). They take the name Phoenix from the bird, not from the city. These events, like most of their events, may include several kinds of games. There could be strategy games like Settlers of Catan and Zooloretto at one table, word games like Scrabble and My Word! at another table, party games like Taboo and Catch Phrase at yet another table. In other words, there should be a variety of games and game styles to fit your mood.

It was in the original posting if you still have that -- apparently Meetup modifies things after the event and that detail is gone.

    HiEveryone,
Help! I'm looking for my cell phone and may have lost it at the party Sat night. It is an old fashioned, flip, dumbphone by Verizon. If anyone found an unclaimed phone please let me know.

Terry's house is a mostly outdoor venue - a very large , lighted covered patio with lots of seating. Entrance is through the gate at end of the driveway. Bring snacks and games, and dress for a San Diego summer evening.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
