April San Diego iOS Developers Get-Together

Our informal, monthly iOS developers get-together. Drop by to mingle with your fellow iPhone developers and trade development experiences and horror stories over a beer or a coffee.

If you want, show off your latest app(s) on the projector.  Want to present something?  Let me know and we can block some time for you.

-------------------------

  • Park on the street, not in the spots on the side of the building. There is usually some parking available on Convoy and there's also parking on Brinnell (behind the building/street parallel to Convoy)
  • We are welcome to bring in food or beer.

My free Romanoff app that I demoed last night can be found here, BTW:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/romanoff/id607887727?ls=1&mt=8
And of course, I'd love any feedback (on the app and my presentation) and reviews on the App Store!

What you said about the Chinese makes me think you could have a free version with the "non-financial" characters and a paid/pro version with the financial or formal system. If you localized the app for Mandarin and possibly Cantonese you might make some $. Of course you will need an Android version.

It was a good meeting. I enjoyed hearing about new apps.

As always, boisterous, fun, educational, and great to meet new people. A little noisy, of course, but that's because there were a LOT of people there!

A couple of interesting demos. Maybe I will do one next month.

Great meetup, many thanks to Josh and everyone attending. Hoping to hang out longer at the next meet.

As requested, links to the two apps that I demo'd.

    2) 10 Second Rant
(Please please please download and post a Rant! I need many more rants on there before publicizing it)

Last minute bail sorry. My youngest daughter has some red eyes, and since she's been around me the past few days I don't want to pass anything along.

Hey everyone! We look forward to seeing you all tonight. The Meetup will take place in the event room at Pangea Bakery Cafe right next to Ansir Innovation Center. Please park on the street if you can! Also, Pangea Bakery Cafe is letting us use the space at NO COST so please support them by buying a coffee or bread :)

There will be another Meetup at Pangea as well, the Scala Enthusiasts Meetup who will be meeting in the hallway.

Are many people from North County? Curious to see if we can do a meetup in Carlsbad?

The get-together alternates between Ansir and O'Sullivan's in Carlsbad for that coverage.

      April 18, 2013

    • Jerry H.

I live in Carlsbad, so the O'Sullivan ones are welcome, but Ansir is a better place for talks and demos.

Sorry, I need to work late tonight

    Thanks

Au contraire, Josh! I too will be rushing up to the projector to show off my new free iOS app (right after Greg!) :-)

      Thanks Josh!

Sorry can't make it, I realized I have class T-Th this month. Hope to make one of these soon, though.

Do you think you could do it one-time on a non-thursday?
I have mixed feeling about skipping Capoeira class.

It's been Thursday from the beginning of time, but you can go to the SDiOS meetings which are always Monday.

10x, I'll check it out. And maybe even skip a class to join you as well
