This workshop will cover:

  • How cameras work

  • Lenses
  • Filters & Accessories
  • The importance of light
  • Using shutter speed to control motion
  • Using aperture to control depth of field
  • Metering modes
  • White balance
  • Basic composition techniques

This workshop takes place outdoors and involves a little walking, so we recommend that you dress comfortably.

Don't forget to bring your camera, charged batteries, and memory cards.

We recommend that you have a DSLR camera or an advanced point and shoot camera with shutter priority and aperture priority modes. We do not rent equipment.

I surprised my girlfriend with this class since she's had her Canon (sorry Don) for over 2 years and has only used the automatic function. She loved the class, and can't wait to learn more. Nick and Don are great instructors. The class was very informative and entertaining as well!

My 10 year-old son and I took the course. My camera is a simple Canon Power Shot so I expected that I wouldn't be able to learn too much. I was wrong. Nick and Donald are gifted instructors. They made the complicated comprehensive.
