Photography Equipment Seminar

For those of us that have a great passion for photography, one thing is for sure, it's not cheap! Knowing what equipment will best suit your needs will ensure that you save money and not end up with equipment that you don't need. Our goal with this seminar is to introduce and discuss the different types of cameras, lenses, and accessories available, and help photography enthusiasts and emerging pros build a priority list of the equipment they need for the type of photography they love. By the end of the night each member will have their own unique outline of equipment with the aid of worksheets and notes from the instructors.

What lens would work best for shooting wildlife? What is a decent, cheap DSLR for a beginner? Does a landscape photographer need a two thousand dollar f/1.2 lens? Does a portrait photographer need a 36 megapixel camera? These are the types of questions we will address among many others.

In this seminar, we will go in depth into the variables that go into landscape, event, portrait, studio, and many other types of photography, and how we can build a unique set of equipment for each type of photography. This will be a fun informal and yet informative class. We will spend a few minutes going over some of the types of equipment and reasons they exist and afterwards, enjoy wine and coffee as we discuss your own unique and individual needs.

Before attending this seminar, we recommend that you write down a list of the types of photography that you want to shoot and any questions that you have regarding equipment. Also, feel free to bring a note pad and pen.

This seminar does not require a camera, but feel free to bring your equipment if you would like us to take a look at it or discuss it.

This seminar will be a huge benefit for those that are new to photography, interested in upgrading, or buying new equipment.
