Tonight we have special guest speakers Harrison Meyle and Robert Mason from the film and video industries who will give us valuable information about how to break into film and TV doing Sound Design.
Sound Design includes music, ambient noise/effects, foley/natural sounds, ADR, special effects, and recording dialog. They will also discuss how to expand your skill set, and modify or augment your gear to best work in film and TV.
This is an especially useful course for those of you with recording gear who want to be a jack of all trades in local films.
Also in attendance will be students from the UCSD's video course.
If time allows, we will allow some members to play a short prerecorded music score that is written for film, bring a CD. RSVP to get on the list to play. We suggest a $5 donation to help pay for the cost of the venue.
Please arrive early for sign in and mixer, doors open at 6:30.
