Collaboration Night- prepare for the next Game.

If you haven't participated in THE GAME yet, you're missing out on some fun. It's also a great way to beat the Writers Block Blues.

Cathryn Beeks give us a song title or 2, you write a song to that title and perform it live at The Go Lounge on Sunday 3/10 4pm.

Tonight we will team up: lyricists, composers, singers, musicians, etc... to start a collaboration. End result, perform live together. You can also perform your individual song.

Titles this time are: "Blame it on the Dog", or "Irish Song".

Bring some song ideas, or lyric ideas. Or just wing it.

There will also be time to perform a song. Bring 10 lyric sheets if you'd like written constructive critiques from the audience.

Hope to see you.

I finished "Irish Song" if anyone wants to put music to it:
    1st Verse
In a land so lush and green
    With amazing dense forests
Where at the end of the rainbow
    You’ll find pots of gold
    With leprechaun’s dancing
    To bag pipes playing Chorus
Ahhh, in the land of “Once upon a time” tales
    There’s such joy and laughter
Because everyone always lives happily ever-after
When you’re singing, singing, singing an Irish Song

    2nd Verse
    After picking a four-leaf clover
    The knight in shining armor
    Slayed a fire-breathing dragon
    Then ran to the dungeon
    Rescuing the beautiful princess
    From a terrible death

    Repeat Chorus

    After much eating and drinking
Everyone’s always joyously laughing and singing
    Never a care or worry
When you’re singing, singing, singing an Irish Song

    3rd Verse
    As you enter Ashford Castle
    Everything is so magical
Floors of real gold & marble
At the evening ball you marvel
    As fairies ride on dragonflies
    In the bright moonlight

Ahh man this head cold still has it's grip on me. So sorry
    I can't be there tonight
I'll have to wait for the next meeting. I had a few ideas about blaming the dog..oh well

Perfect song title. Just two days ago I started writing a song about being a dog. I still haven't made it out to a meeting but plan to make it regularly.
