My music is free and adventurous, honest and soulful, rhythmic and melodic, heartfelt and clever, hopeful and revelatory, stimulating and healing, simple enough to be easy on the head and conscious enough to be in balance of mind/body/emotion/spirit. So, how do you "type" that? Folk music? Rock Music? Spiritual Music? Pop music? Like some others, I abhor being classified and "typed." So, I'd like real openness in sharing my music and in hearing the songs of others who deserve to be treated with full respect and attention for their passions and musical expressions. I would appreciate quality connections with dedicated songwriters who are in it for the right reasons, as in, those who write because they love to, have to and want to.
I play guitars and some hand drums and some electronic keys and harmonica and percussion and bass. I try not to over-critique the quality of playing, and approach it literally...I PLAY these instruments. And yes, I sing, and could be considered a SINGER.
I've had a number of successful collaborations and am open to others. I enjoy writing lyrics and melodies with instrumentalists.
I'm quite appreciative of the processes and stages in songwriting and production. Can provide constructive encouragement and enthusiastic support for others who write songs, sing, play, perform and record.
I can provide CD's, MP3's and on-line links for my music. I'd like to handle this somewhat privately at this stage in my so-called career. I have some strong beliefs and ideals about the intrinsic values of songs and music, and have resisted what used to be known as Shameless Self-Promotion.
Seems everything in life goes into creating the next song - wanting to connect with others who share respect for the spiritual aspects of music. Hoping to inspire and to be inspired. Keeping it LIGHt
