Re: [SDSongwriters] We need a lyrical spark- you have the lighter!

Hi Cliff. I was just wondering what you consider original. I know you made a comment when I played a middle east version of Voodoo Chile, but it was a very different system. Yet most of the people that sang either played G C D or a blues progression, which weren't original. So is it only the lyrics you are concerned with?

Thanks
Doug

Hello lyricists, it's time for The Game again.  We get a song title and write a new song to it, then perform it live on Dec 7th, and record it.
You're a lyricist, can you give us some ideas?  Doesn't have to be a complete lyric.  Either come to our meetup tonight or on the 23rd and bring a couple copies.  Or just email it to me and I will post it on our website.  See 2 examples there now at www.meetup.com/SDsongwriters/files/  1 complete set of lyrics from our new member Richard Lee Orey, and partial lyrics from me.
Your help would be appreciated.  Who knows, maybe you'll have a fully recorded song ready to send out for the holidays.

Meeting tonight at 7pm.
Cliff Keller
