Why are you interested in joining SD Transhumanists? (All questions are optional but appreciated)

I'm interested in meeting competent theorists, researchers and engineers that have real, experience-based knowledge applicable to futurism and human enhancement. It sounds beneficial as well to be a part of a community of like-minded, ambitious individuals that I can work with. This group should be a stepping stone to something bigger in San Diego.

What do you plan to get from being a part of SD Transhumanists?

Meet friends with like-minded interests and ambitions.

What types of events would you be interested in attending?

Power-point presentations, interesting discussion topics, events on current enhancement-technologies and methods.

What interests you about transhumanism and/or related subjects?

I'm interested in attaining the best state of being that I possibly can, and that includes taking advantage of what I can know about the state of the world and where it's going. Also, I'm fascinated by the changes likely to occur in society as humanity becomes more interconnected, empathetic, and aware. I'm especially interested in implications about identity, subjectivity, morality and well-being.

Are you interested in organizing events?

Yes, particularly for physical activity like hiking (or life-logging exercises), as well as power-point presentations by individuals in the group.

Introduction

I'm a graduate from UCSD in Psych, minor in Phil. I've been an artist my whole life and always need to be doing more. I'm obsessed with problems of the mind, intersubjectivity, identity and moral progress. For now I work as a mailman for the USPS.
