The Ustream broadcast with Shawne Merriman starts at 8pm PST and we'll be broadcasting live from Stingaree. Should you want to sit right in the middle of all the action during the broadcast (literally inches away from Shawne Merriman), you can tweet to win one of 15 VIP seats. We'll be giving away three seats per day - selecting winners randomly - from Sunday to Thursday and Shawne [@shawnemerriman] will announce the winners via Twitter.

--- Event Details ---
Football season is right around the corner, and since our own hometown football super stud, Charger Linebacker, Shawne Lights Out Merriman (@ShawneMerriman), has taken a fancy to Twitter and social media in general, we thought it would be a blast to have an official SDTweetup with Shawne Merriman to get together and talk and tweet all things Twitter.

Given his celebrity status, Shawne's perspective on social media and Twitter is very unique, so this time around we're going to top our typical mixer events with a Q&A session with Shawne moderated by yours truly and broadcast live - starting at 8pm PST - to his Ustream channel. We'll be taking questions from the audience in attendance and via Twitter and Ustream so make sure to use the hashtag #LightsOut56 (and #sdwteetup if you want) if you're posing a question for Shawne or talking about the event.

Of course SDTweetup attendees will also be able to meet (and tweet with) Shawne, so there's certainly a big bonus in store for those of you that can make it out to the event.

Stingaree has graciously offered to host the event, and we'll be doing the Ustream Q&A with Shawne Merriman from this hit downtown hot spot. They're giving us VIP access and treatment, complete with a free sushi bar, and happy hour prices until 10:00pm, for this extra special event.

We're also going to do some really awesome things with 12seconds, and Sol Lipman will be in attendance to help us capture 12second snippets of super awesome SDTweetup moments and share them with our envious online friends. You also might want to keep an eye out on Shawne's 12second channel. ;)
