SD Tweetup November Meeting - Make News in 140 Characters or Less at KPBS
KPBS (@kpbsnews) is graciously hosting our next SDTweetup for a new media/twitter networking and social event (aka Twitter party). We're going to take over their studios like the rock stars we are. There will be food, drinks (of the alcohol variety), a green screen photo area, Wii setup, and of course the return of the TwitterBoard (thanks to @gebl). There are still a few surprises left to come, so stay tuned! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and making new media news.
IMPORTANT VENUE INFORMATION
Parking: KPBS has reserved no fee parking for us in Parking Structure 2. Make sure to park in Parking Structure 2 on levels 2, 3, or 4. If you park anywhere else on campus you'll have to pay for parking. There is a PDF available in the Files section of our meetup group titled "KPBS Directions" please reference this document for information on parking and directions.
Building Entrance: Please use the main entrance on Campanile Dr. The Lobby Exterior doors will be unlocked from 7 PM until 9 PM and someone will be stationed at the front desk throughout this period. The Ext Lobby doors lock at 9 PM, and guests will be able to leave freely, but be unable to re-enter the building.

I would be there in a heartbeat!!! But, I'm speaking on stage at Ali Brown's event in LA at the same time. Dang, oh, to be in two places at once!! This looks like it'll be one HOT event!! ;)

I believe the "Tweetup" has outgrown it's title and should thus be dubbed "Tweetcon"; 200+ people? That's just nutty. Good job Van Grove for kicking this thing off and keeping it going. See you kids tonight @ 7:30 or so.

Matt ChaneyIt was a fun mix of things to do, but I like being downtown or more in the city. That said, I think it was very cool of KPBS to host us. The big screen should be a staple of the events!
