Dine at Dinner Horn!

  • This location is shown only to members

  • This is one of my favorite places to eat, with the added bonus that there are no parking issues - they have their own parking lot!

DinnerHorn / Bratskellar are two attached restaurants with different cuisine and atmosphere.  We'll dine on the Dinner Horn side.  Here is the link to their website:

Friendly, casual family atmosphere.  They have been in business a long time and consistently get good reviews.  They are especially recommended for their seafood, but have many other entrees, salads, and sandwiches as well.

Look forward to seeing you there!

    Randy

    Hi Erin,

Yes, I scheduled for 11:45 in order to avoid the lunch crowds and waiting. 1:30 or later is also a good time, as well...just like to avoid the 12:00 - 1:30 rush.

Also - unrelated - please check back by Friday night to be sure that we are still on.

As of now, only 2 RSVP's besides myself. Thanks.

Sounds like fun- haven't been there in ages but remember it was good. Best Italian is North End! Lol The Med on Congress was pretty good.....

Yes, nothing beats North End or Providence! If it was a bit nearer, we could try a North End restaurant sometime....but in the meantime, the Med on Congress Street seems to get good reviews. The owners are from the North End. I also heard Rosa's will be re-opening under new management.

Hi Arlene - Yes, I get a lot more motivated and energized once to fall and winter, so I will be posting more. I am not a summer person!

I also love Italian food (as do most people) and am looking for an Italian restaurant that serves made-from-scratch. One of those mom and pop types. They are really hard to find in NH or Maine.

If you (or anyone else) recommends one, let me know, and I will post an Italian Meetup. Has anyone ever tried Cafe Mediterraneo on Congress Street? I have heard a lot of good things about it, and they get great reviews.

I have heard good things about Patty B's in Dover. I have not tried it but I have a 50% off coupon, so I will try it soon.

Thanks for the suggestions! Mimmo's is great off season, in the fall when it's quieter; just before they close for the season. Perhaps I'll schedule a Meetup there in October.
