Hi Ladies,

A good Saturday morning to you!  Im looking for some help organizing us.  Specifically swaps.  Everyone loves swaps, including me.  But Im not so good at coming up with themes, cute questions, charting out the timeline for when names should be picked and gifts given.

What Im looking for are 4 people willing to accept the titles of Mistress of the Swaps, or some such honorific.  Im envisioning Seacoast Knitters having 4 swaps a year, about every 3 months.  So each of the 4 Mistresses would be responsible for one swap.  Heather had done an excellent job with Last years hat swap and the details are on the message boards.  So here is what I would need from the Mistresses:

         A Theme

An Item or Items to be knit and swapped

10-15 questions that will help the giver find the perfect item and extras.

         A $$ Limit

         A date to draw names

         An exchange date

So if youre interested in becoming a Mistress of the Swaps please email me and start coming up with the details for a swap.

Also, there are lots of swap groups on Ravelry that can help inspire swap themes and for those of you who don't know what a swap entails let me explain. Basically, we write a little about our preferences, throw our names in a hat and draw. Then we knit and give the item along with a few choice goodies to the person who's name we got. Typically swaps occur through on-line groups and items are shipped across the country. Although swaps can be associated with holidays and special events, they dont need to be.

Happy Knitting!

Steph
