The Seattle PHP Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

In an effort to be aware (kind) of how busy people are, we are going to 'move' our Meetup in October from Thursday to Tuesday this one time only! because HasOffers is bringing in Rasumus Lerdorf, "the father of PHP."  This free event is on Tuesday, October 4 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm (note: that's 30 min. earlier than we normally meet).
Also, Tim Juravich will be talking on when SQL vs NoSQL (he's writing a book on CouchDB, btw).

So instead of trying asking you to do two, great meetings in one week (or having to pick one), we're going to 'move' to Tuesday this one time.

NOTICE: can you please sign up at:
If you want to RSVP on this here Meetup site, that's fine, but it's way more important that you RSVP on the Event Brite page.

Once again, HasOffers is offering us something amazing and for free!  This is a no-miss-event!

Both presentations were well done and provided useful technical information. I enjoyed hearing about the history of PHP from the person who created it.

Great information on NoSQL from Tim Juravich (going to pick up his book when it comes out). Rasmus was awesome, great sense of humor and information on libevent was very timely for me personally.

WOW! So cool to see how PHP has evolved, where it's going, etc. Actually helps me as a developer.
And Tim's talk on Database options was the best I've heard on the topic.
Plus free food from doesnt' get any better than last night!

It didn't register with me when he offhandedly mentioned it during the talk - but if I heard it right, HasOffers flew Rasmus Lerdorf up here just for this meetup! That's awesome! Thanks guys!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
