Have you looked into an in-memory database like Redis? This won't have the same latency of a normal on-disk database.

I have a smallish 2d array of around 2000 items and id like it be accessible via multiple classes simultaneously. I cant add a database in because the query time destroys the speed.
I *think* i need to do this so that while one object is setting attributes, another one can act on them.
I dont know what to look for or what it might be called in order to research it.
