Yeah I've used solarize in sublime, right now I use the freshcut theme. I just need a good diff app that is easy to interpret, ie this method was completely removed vs four of ten lines in this method were removed, vim diff is hard to understand.

If bright colors are an issue, consider Solarized:

It takes several pounds worth of burden off my eyes.  There are downloads for a bunch of different editors and environments.  Vim is, of course, supported.  I couldn't stand the default color config, but the colors themselves are great for code on computer screens.

It took some doing,  but applying this color palette to my coding environments was worth the effort.

Does it work well? I don't need 15 light brite fucking colors like vim diff, I want simple and clean so I don't hose code.

Any suggestions on diff programs that work well with php, JavaScript and CSS/markup syntax? Vim diff can suck it, keeps causing me to whack good code with its crappy colors.
