I’m having the oddest error and i don’t understand it. I wanted to hand a variable from my switch down to the function where it is used so i can set it to value i want at any given moment. However it seems that i have to hard code the value into the function else it does not work. And this ought not to be the case as i understand it.

Snippet (This Works as expected):
function getPostsPaged($myThreadID, $str=''){
$myTally=8;

Snippet (This surprisingly Does Not Work):
function getPostsPaged($myThreadID, $myTally=8; $str=''){
