Search London - International SEO and How To Build Great Links

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a good summer.

I will be hosting the next Search London meetup " International SEO Tips and How To Build Great Links"

The event will be sponsored by MoneySupermarket.  Come down to the next Search London event, listen to great speakers and have some drinks on MSM.

Date: Tuesday, September 18th

Time: From 7:00pm

Location: Theodore Bullfrog, 26 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6HL

We are lucky to have two fantastic speakers at the event: Kelvin Newman and Peter Handley.

1) Kelvin Newman, Strategy Director at SiteVisibility

Kelvin will be talking about "How to build great links".

We all know Google love links but how do you actually get them? Some people say building good content is enough, that's a lie. You need a savvy and practical approach to building links to your website if you want to compete in a competitive market place. Kelvin will give you an action plan on how to build business changing links.

Kelvin has delivered presentations across the UK & Europe at events like A4U, SMX London and SASCON.  He regularly contributes to State of Search & Econsultancy.

2) Peter Handley, SEO Director at theMediaFlow.

Pete will be talking about How to use rel="alternate” to prevent International content duplication issues, and other International SEO Tips. Last week he wrote a blog post about this topic which has since received many comments and tweets and the busiest traffic post he has had in one day.

http://www.themediaflow.com/2012/08/an-international-seo-implementation-tale-sitemaps-relalternate-hreflangx/

Peter joined theMediaFlow in early December 2011 and has over 6 years’ experience in search engine optimisation. Working on a range of campaigns in both b2b and b2c environments, Pete has worked in the medical, insurance and financial, email marketing sectors and a range of ecommerce stores including fashion and footwear, at regional, national and international levels

I have put myself down with a +1 - it is possible I may now need to bring two people. Is that going to cause any problems, or am I OK to bring both?

Hey Matt, hope you are well! That's very kind of you, much appreciated! In that case, the girl who is coming has 2.5 hours to find a suitable disguise to pass off as a "Matt".
