Our verse by verse study of the Book of Hebrews just started last Sunday so now is a great time to start meeting up with us in this study. We will begin in chapter 1 verse 3. These verses in this chapter provide and opportunity for a great study of Jesus the Christ. He is beautifully described in verse 3 as the "brightness" of God's glory, "the express image" of God's person, and the One who upholds "all things by the word of His power." We will consider each of these expressions of who Jesus is. Come and bring your understanding and add to our study and general discussion. We will also notice that Jesus presently is "on the right hand of the Majesty on high." We will discuss this present role in light of pre-millennial views of Jesus and His kingdom. Then Jesus is declared to be "better" than the angels and the proof of the declaration is given. This is a wonderful study of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ and His law for us today. The aim of the book is to exhort faithful, life long service from those who have already come obediently to Him. What a study! "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom." All hail the power of Jesus' name! Join our study. You will be welcomed as a friend.
