Pitch party for writers

Are there writers in our reading group? If you plan to pitch a manuscript or book proposal at a writers conference this summer, you may know that the pitch process is like speed dating: you have 90 seconds to pitch your project to an editor or agent in such an enticing way that she'll sign you on the spot--or at least invite you to send her a writing sample after the conference. Because pitchers need practice, I'm inviting writers to bring their pitches to my house in Kirkland at 7 pm, July 9. I'm limiting the number to 8 people so that everyone gets a chance to make his pitch and get feedback. Email me (not the entire membership) through Meetup with a firm commitment if you want to come and I'll send the address.
