General admission tickets for "Hitchcock" - admission not guaranteed

This is a meetup that works in conjunction with the free preview showing of "Hitchcock" with guaranteed admission at the Pacific Place Cinemas on Thursday, November 29. Its purpose to is distribute ten general admission tickets to the performance though admission is NOT guaranteed. Participation in this meetup is limited to those persons who are on the waiting list of the other meetup as of 11 pm, November 19. Here are the details.

The ten general admission tickets  will be distributed at no cost to the people who have been on the waiting list the longest. I will send an email to the first ten persons (including Su and Roberto who were at the top of the list and were moved to the bottom by mistake). Each person will have 48 hours to respond if they want a ticket. If there is no response the next person on the waiting list will be offered the ticket.

At the time of the event if there are "no shows" folks with the general admission ticket can have the vacancy and be admitted as part of the "guaranteed seating" group. This will be assigned on the basis of their position on the waiting list for that event. If there are only a few no shows folks who have general admission who do not get admitted with the "guaranteed seating" group can go to the end(!) of the general admission line and hope that the theater is not overbooked. Alternatively, holders of general admission tickets, particularly those who are further back on the waiting list, can get into the general admission line immediately to increase their chance of getting in. My experience is that about 75% of the advance previews have not been full houses so everyone in line will be admitted provided he or she has a ticket in hand.

Please note that there is no guarantee of admission if you have a general admission ticket. Words to that effect are printed on each ticket.

I think this is good news -- I just posted an encore meetup December 9th @ 4:30 at the Guild 45th, for people who could not get in to the first two showings.

The theater was about 85% full which means that everyone with a general admission ticket was admitted.

There seems to be a glitch in the system: I have tried to respond several times over the past few days to openings here and at another meetup, but once I sign in all I see is the blue box saying I'm on the waitlist. I have no way to RSVP to get onto the "attending" list. I have reported this, so...hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Nodo: The glitch must be with your computer. Several people have successfully changed their reservation in the past few days including this morning.
