Science fiction has long been a playground for fascination and fears about mankind’s place in the universe. It is a laboratory for the imagination, inhabited by aliens, humanoids, giant bugs, robots, supercomputers, rocket ships, and time portals. From B-movies to cult films to blockbusters, this course provides an overview of the history of science fiction cinema, its subgenres, its ties to literature and popular culture, and its crossovers with fantasy, horror, and adventure.

This 8 week course will explore all this and more with your guide, Lance Rhoades who despite his encyclopedic film knowledge, is probably not an android. Sign up here: http://seattlefilmins... or call (800) 882-4734 or (206) 568-4387
