About Coffee Club of Seattle

This group is for you if any one of the following applies to you:

• You drink coffee and want to learn more about it
  
• You want to see and learn how coffee is made
  
• You want to learn what it takes to be a barista, coffee roaster, or a cafe owner/operator
  
• You are passionate about coffee
  

Whether you are only familiar with the corporate coffee behemoths or you appreciate the fine coffees that local coffee roasters provide, you will definitely find this group fun, entertaining, and educational. The primary purpose of the group is to educate consumers on coffee, with the aide of industry professionals and prosumer/enthusiasts. This is literally a grass roots initiative to spread coffee knowledge and appreciation, as part of coffee's "Third Wave" movement. By becoming more appreciative of your daily grind, hopefully you will patronize the independent, high quality coffee purveyors.

Typical events include:

• Arrange tours at local coffee roasters and coffeehouses
  
• Hold home coffee roasting and barista training classes
  
• Educational seminars on coffee cupping, tasting, etc.
  
• Seminars on coffee equipments for coffee addicts at home
  
• Anything else based on members' suggestions
