Geoffrey Castle's St. Patrick's Eve Celtic Concert
We will be celebrating the spirit of Saint Patrick by attending Geoffrey Castle's annual concert at the Kirkland Performance Center (KPC) on Saturday, March 16. Geoff is a virtuoso of the electric violin, and his performances are rooted in Celtic music. Here is a description of the concert:
Geoffrey Castle's beloved St. Patrick's Day Celebration returns, with special guests the Gothard Sisters, surprise musical guests (past guests have included members of Heart, YES, and Cirque du Soleil) and an overflowing cup of St. Patty's cheer. Experience the fun, festive excitement of St. Patrick's Day in a show that started at the Kirkland Performance Center and is now becoming a new tradition across the Northwest!
Electric Six-string Violinist Geoffrey Castle fearlessly brings the violin back to center stage with virtuoso showmanship and a 21st century attitude.
Geoffrey is considered a pioneer on the electric six-string violin. From his beginnings as a street musician in New York City and Paris, he rose to play in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of M. Butterfly. A theme of Castle's career is to destroy people's pre-conceived notions of what is possible on a violin, which he does every time he takes the stage. A bandleader and solo artist—with several critically acclaimed releases on his own Twisted Fiddle Music label—Geoffrey Castle has also managed to share stages with an illustrious group of musicians including Blues Traveler, all of the original and current members of Heart, Buddy Miles, and Alan White of Yes.

Each meetup participant is responsible for purchasing his or her own ticket. Ticket prices are $25 (adult), $20 (senior), $15 (youth) plus a handling fee. The Kirkland Performance Center is a small venue with under 500 seats arranged in 13 rows which means that every seat is reasonably close to the stage. All seats are reserved. Here is the link to the web site where you can purchase your ticket
If participants want to sit together I will be in Seat G 16. You can purchase a ticket for a nearby seat.
Meet me in the lobby of the KPC starting at 7:30. This will give us an opportunity to become acquainted with each other. We will go to our reserved seats when the concert is about to begin. I am an Asian male who wears glasses and who will probably be wearing a hat of some type (beret, black rain hat). A head shot of me appears in the photo section of my profile so you can see for whom to look. My cell phone,[masked], will be on until the start of the program.
There will be an optional dinner before the concert at the Wilde Rover Irish Pub and Restaurant which is located about a half-mile from the KPC. Send me an email if you wish to participate in the pre-concert dinner.
There will be an optional beverage and food stop after the concert. This will probably be Lucia's Italian Restaurant which has a happy hour menu until 11:00.
Details of this meetup will be emailed to all participants.
