Ok lets get this party going :) Since it is the holiday's I thought it would be great to meet and mingle. It has been awhile since we have had any meetups.

Pearl's has a great happy hour starting at 9pm till close. It is a real swank place in downtown Bellevue and all martini, wine, cosmos, appetizers are $5.

It is short notice but worth the try.

Just look for me with a flashing item on my shirt.

Come out to the Fremont Oktoberfest and meet new couples, sample some new Widmer beer and maybe chomp on some good bratwurst! Come and celebrate this annual German Tradition in the "center of the universe" while mingling with other new couples from the Seattle/Eastside area. Two different beer gardens, a Widmer Beer Tent and lots of activities throughout the day. Celebrate the changing season and welcome the coming of the Fall Season...My two favorite season!

On-line tickets are $20 for all day and $25 per person at the door. Supin and I are purchasing our tickets on-line. We will meet by the famous Fremont "Waiting for the Interurban" Statue at 6:00pm. Hope to see you there!

To purchase tickets on-line or for more information regarding The Fremont Oktoberfest, go to www.fremontoktoberfest.com.

Danke schön!

This is in Lincoln Square Bellevue!!

Please look for me as I will be wearing a flashing light on my shirt. We will meet in the lounge. When all have arrived we can break out into groups of ten to bowl. It will cost $13 per game including shoes. You don't have to bowl to attend. If we get 10 people per game it will easily take an hour or more to complete. In any case will have a blast socializing and having fun bowling!!

Let's make this a chocolaty experience to remember! Theo's remodeling is finally complete! We can get the grand tour of the factory. Please make sure to dress in light clothing for the tour since it's a little warm in the factory. Also no open toe shoes are allowed in the tour. We will also be looking glamorous in our beautiful hair nets that we are required to wear during the tour for sanitary purposes (this will be a good time for blackmail photos! :)

Make sure to bring your chocolate appetite for this tour for there will be plenty of sampling. Come for the history of the first organic beans lesson, the history of Theo Chocolate, chocolate trivia, mingle with new friends, and of course the free chocolate! If anyone's game, after the tour we can walk across to Bauer's Brewery and enjoy and small bite to eat and or a cocktail/beer.

I've received some interest for this tour via email today so I hope plenty of people can make it. I've opened it up to 10 couples! Please make sure when you RSVP that you'll be able to make it since the refund is only good if the Meetup is cancelled or rescheduled since my credit card will be taken up front for reservations! Thanks so much for all the amazing positive feedback and I look forward to meeting some new couples!

For more information on Theo Chocolate and their line of chocolately goods, please visit www.thechocolate.com.

Hello All You Cool Seattle/Eastside Couples!

I wanted to organize an event where we can melt the Seattle Freeze (the Seattle stereotype of unfriendly people here in this city) by going out, mixing and mingling and of course dancing the night away! Pascal's (the previous organizer for this Meetup group) band Take One will be playing this evening at the Twisted Cork in Bellevue and they're awesome! We had a dancing event there before and it was pretty fun. The girls were mostly doing all the dancing while the guys talked about techie stuff and God knows what.

Let's break out of our comfort zone and paint the town red!! Hope to see most of you there! This event is for couples who want to come out and meet new couples to develop long term friendships and to prevent those who just moved here from being home sick. Just last Sunday at our Happy Hour Social, my husband and I met Cathy and Marc. It turns out they both run and walk half marathons like I do and Marc plays recreational hockey like my husband Supin. You meet some amazing people when you decide to come out and be a part of the fun! Also Ed, Shirin, Monette and Avery continue to be long term friends of ours and we met them through this Meetup group. I appreciate those who came out last week. Supin and I had a blast and the pizza wasn't bad either!

If you would like to check out the band information, please visit their website at http://www.takeoneband.com/. The live music begins at 10 PM so make sure to dust off your dancing shoes for this event because no is escaping the dancing (just kidding, we won't force anyone to dance).

I figured most couples could either have a romantic dinner at home our out at a restaurant and then join us for the after dinner festivities. See you on the 15th!

Come Eat, Meet and Greet with other fellow Seattle/Eastide Couples in the area! This is going to be a special "Happy Hour Sunday Social!" We will feast on great pizza, awesome atmosphere and of course mingle amongst awesome people! With all that's going on in our economy, we have to have a sense of community and that's why every now and then it's great to make it a point to go out and meet new people and step out of our "safe" zone.

We have been fortunate to meet so many great individuals who we've had the pleasure of continuing our friendships with and we go out for Bowling Night, Sushi Night, Movies, and after Dinner Dessert Spots.

Ed H. in our group is in search of the best pizza (I'm not sure if that's the world's best). I've suggested another place Downtown Seattle and hopefully he'll enjoy this pizza too! Join Ed on his quest to find the best pizza at least for now in Seattle! :)

Let's celebrate our economy by celebrating each other's Success and build strong bonds that will take our minds to a place of celebration and long term friendships!

Note this time we will be doing separate checks per couple.

Hope to see most of you there!

ACME BOWLING

Good Bowling Skills NOT Required

I've been thinking for awhile it'd be fun to do a group bowling night. I found this great place that looks really cool and should be fun. It's a little outside of Seattle but I think it will be worth the trip (bowling places are hard to come by these days!) and if I'm not mistaken we do have a few couples in South King County as well.

We can get food and drinks delivered right to our lane-not just Bud Light and corn dogs either! Beer, wine, and cocktails! This should be a laid back fun time.

Bowling is $5.50 per player per game and if you need shoes it's a $4 rental. Thinking we will do 2 games and I'll reserve three lanes at about 6 players per lane. There's a limit so when RSVP'ing couples don't forget your +1 so we have an accurate count.

Seattle's Funniest Christmas Show Returns!

First performed in 1985, A(n Improvised) Christmas Carol brings Charles Dickens's Christmas classic to the stage with a twist!

What if Scrooge owned a pet store? What if the Ghost of Christmas Past was a Film Noir detective? What if Tiny Tim wasn't so tiny?

The audience gives suggestions up front, and UP's improvisers use these suggestions to tell an all new tale of how Christmas can (or can't!) change Ebenezer Scrooge's life!

Tickets are $12 at the door or can be purchased in advance online (this might be the safer option and I think they are general admission so no seating assignments) at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/46808

Afterwards we'll go for drinks/dinner somewhere nearby (if you want to join us!)

PARKING:
Parking is FREE on the street after 6pm and on Sundays. Except during street fairs, free evening parking is also available in the market itself.

After 5pm, $3.00 COVERED PARKING is available at the PUBLIC MARKET PARKING GARAGE directly behind the Market on Western Ave. (Connected to a sky bridge)

VALET PARKING is also available in the Market most evenings.

Unexpected Productions and The Market Theater are located downtown in Pike Place Market, in the heart of Seattle's Tourist District.

FINDING THE MARKET THEATER:

On foot, go to the main entrance of the Pike Place Market at 1st and Pike. There, you'll find Rachel, Pike Place Market's full size brass piggy bank, beneath the neon sign and clock, right by the famous Pike Place Fish Company. From the pig, go down the stairs and around the corner into Post Alley, where you'll find the Market Theater, along with the famous Gum Wall!

Our ticket office opens at least 30 minutes before every show!

Hey everyone,

So I am a temp assistant organizer : ) I mentioned this meetup to Laura but she'll unfortunately be out of town. I'll step in as the host because I think this looks fun and would love to get more people there. I am cross promoting this on SeattleCityGirls meetup so hopefully we can get a lot of people there.

Let's get in the holiday spirit and watch the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival! I love Christmas lights and Seattle's scenic water views so when I found out I missed this event last year I was really bummed. The Argosy Christmas Ship™ festival is a holiday celebration that has been a Northwest tradition for 59 years. Its main purpose is to bring communities together to celebrate the holiday season. From our flotilla of ships to the crowds of people who gather onshore, this celebration is one of the gems of the holiday season.

Each night, from Saturday November 29 through December 23rd, the Argosy Christmas Ship™ sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities, over 45 in total. Choirs onboard sing 20-minute performances to these communities, all broadcast via state-of-the-art speaker system. And it's FREE!

Let's gather at one of the parks below to watch the boat parade!
MONDAY, DEC 1st - opening night
8:10-8:30
GAS WORKS PARK
Seattle Girls' Choir - Cantamus

I'll work out more details as it nears. Might be able to get a pop up tent in case it's raining.
