Chromecast Sender / Receiver w/ Yenchi

Google Cast is a technology that enables multi-screen experiences and lets a user send and control content like video from a small computing device like a phone, tablet, or laptop to a large display device like a television. The sender may be a phone or tablet running on Android or iOS, or it may be a laptop computer running Chrome. A sender application running on the sender device uses the Google Cast API for the appropriate platform to discover and communicate with the receiver application running on the receiver device. The receiver API lets you customize the messaging between the sender and receiver applications for authentication and other scenarios

Yenchi is Sr Android Developer with Nuance Communications and co-organizer of the Seattle-GDG.

It was great to get a clear description of the dual lens, and its intended purpose after all the tech media's speculation on it. I didn't learn anything new about the Chromecast and Google Cast, but it would have been a good introduction for someone not familiar with either.

If "We are in the Park View Conf room opposite PCC Natural Markets" then it looks like the address is:
    601 N 34th Street, Seattle, WA, us
When I was last there for AngularJS the entrance to 601 N 34th Street was off of N 34th Street across the street from PCC.

Dan is correct. The address of the lobby is the one he mentions. It's just past Ageless, across from PCC.

Maybe this is a bit unrelated. UI Recorder is my latest adventure to the test automation world ( With a little tweak, it will allow you to capture any kind of browser events and generate custom automation code. Please spread the news if you think this will be useful to others. I'm ready to change the old world of test automation and save people from wasting their time on old ways of doing thing. I hope you can join me on this journey as well.

Are you in the Seattle Metropolitan area or in India? If you are in Seattle, simply join the GDG Meetup group ( it might ask you for a short biography / interests, etc. to introduce yourself ). Then go to the 'Upcoming Meetups in the list on the left, click then open the Meetups you want to attend, then hit the RSVP button. Note that the meetups do not always meet at the same location. In your MeetUp settings, it is useful to activate the email and text reminders.
