Dart Flight School at the Museum of Flight

If you're interested in modern web technology, come and join us to get to know Google's new Dart web development language.  We're planning a day-long event at the Museum of Flight to get you started.  This event is the first in a series of three we are planning in 2014, culminating in a 2-day Dart hack-a-thon.

In this first event, you'll get an introduction to Dart and instruction to help you work through a new Dart code lab created just for this event.

Schedule:

 9:00 am: Coffee and pastries.
9:30 am: Introduction to Dart, by Kevin Moore.
10:30 am: Code Lab (bring your laptop!)
  1:00 pm: Lunch is served
2:00 pm: Dart developer panel discussion.
3:00 pm: Group and self-guided tours of the Museum of Flight.
                (possibly with a full-motion flight-simulator challenge!)

You'll leave with the skills to be able to build a modern web application using Dart and be ready to learn more advanced concepts in our follow-up events in 2014.

We have a student ticket available - go to Student Ticket site.

Featured Speaker:

Kevin Moore - Kevin is a Google Product Manager working on Dart. He has been an active developer and contributor to the project before he joined Google in December. Before finding Dart, Kevin did work in C#, Javascript, and Ruby.

I hope that I can do all this on a mac...I don't have a PC.
As for tickets - good question, Dan! I figured there'd be a list of us. I guess I could pull up the email, but I don't currently have a printer, so I'd have to show it on my screen... Hope that'll work... :)
