What are your favorite places to create art?

Outside!! The fun of creating something outdoors is that I am able to incorporate more of the feeling that I experience at the moment into my work. Even a smile changes the mood of a painting..

What kind of group art excursion have you always wanted to take, but nobody to take it with?

Let's go to Italy.

What are some of your favorite colors?

Does it really matter?

Who are some of your favorite artists and art forms?

Thomas Schaller, John Yardley, Ron Ranson, Monet, Van Gough, Degas, etc. There are many to count and each have their own great style.

What do you most value in an art-making companion?

I enjoy painting or working with someone that knows something about what they are doing, can be social enough to hold a conversation, but know when to keep quiet and stick to working. A beer afterward never hurts either.

I'm 36 originally from San Francisco, CA, and recently took up watercolor painting about a year ago. While not professionally trained, I've had a good amount of exposure to art over the years, and enjoy drawing, painting, and other creative outlets.
