Software Craftsmanship Roundtable
What is this?
Something we did back in February and we got some great feedback, so we're doing it again. Here's how it works:
After some pizza and drinks, we'll start off by inviting anyone who wants to propose a topic for group discussion. After a few of those, we'll give those who proposed a topic 30 seconds to pitch it. We'll vote and run with the winners for the rest of the evening. We'll wrap up with a quick retro and call it a wrap.
It's kind of like an open spaces event, in that whatever we talk about will be relevant because it's what the group came up with. Topics can be (almost) anything...from tools and good practices to continuous deployment, from design and architecture to inteview techniques, how to motivate people, or how to TDD or improve the dev workflow.
Most of this description was borrowed from Sandro Mancuso's Codurance blog post which you can read here: http://codurance.com/2013/11/21/starting-craftsmanship-communities/
Space is going to be limited, so please make sure to RSVP before we're all filled up.
