  • David, sorry we missed you. We were sitting by two bug tents and has a mini volleyball net by us. Hope you can make it again as we always have things going.

  • However, can an 8-way I7 really get full use when there's an 8 gb RAM limitation? Is there a correlation?

Down the road I anticipate more applications will be able to take advantage of multi-way processing.

  • Hi David,
Thanks so much! I will get the anti-glare now, memory & drive later. I see hanging out in the Surf Incubator a lot, & will want a larger screen than the 13" for website design too. I'm getting help with the cost. So I'm looking at the 17" ($250 more) for $2144 total (educational discount). I'm considering a single bump to the I7 620M processor/4 mb cache for $180 more. According to a benchmark site, I'll get a 11% boost and I can't upgrade later. That'll put it at $2349.

  • Hi David,
As you know, I'm buying a Macbook Pro. Any thoughts on after-market upgrades for RAM and hard drive? At some point I want to get a solid-state drive and 8 gb memory. Can I do it myself (like I did on my HP laptop?)

    Glossy vs. anti-glare screens?

Which upgrades did you go for and what's your opinion on the value of them now?

    Thanks! Carol
