Vancouver's Inaugral Tea Festival

Just heard about that a Tea Festival is starting this year in Vancouver.  Enjoy an afternoon learning about one of the world’s most popular beverages that’s grown ‘round-the-world and offered in a wide variety of flavours. There are engaging presentations so you can learn more about the harvesting of tea leaves, preparation, and even let sample an array of teas from all over the globe. It’s everything you wanted to know and experience related to tea, and it’s sure to prove an excursion that’s both educational and enjoyable.

Tickets are $14.  2 of 1 vouchers are also available until Oct 4 or 5th.

See more details at

Getting there:  You do need a passport or Enhanced Driver's License to cross the boarder.  Use comments to coordinate carpools.  Also check out the Bolt Bus for $1 to $15 tickets each way or see if there are any Amtrak specials.  Could even make a weekend of it.

For now this is an FYI or self-hosted event.  Organizers, feel free to host if you'd like - go ahead and take it over.  If a member would like to host, let me know and I'll set you up.  Enjoy! ~Claudette

So wish that I could attend! Sounds amazing! A dear friend of mine who lives in Vancouver will surely be attending. Hopefully I will be able to make it next year!

So . . . when will Seattle have our Inaugural Tea Festival?
Hope to hear some good stories of those who get to attend.

Starting Oct. 1 I believe, PCC will be giving out 2for1 Amtrak coupons. They're good for the Vancouver, BC through Oregon corridor.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
