ocean shores +-1hour and vicinity hot spots for an overnight?

Hi

Does anyone know of any spots in the area I would like to just do a really easy beach overnighter around ocean shores and drive up the coast.

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't remember exactly where Ocean Shores is, but I love La Push. At beach 1, you can drive up to the beach, a long rocky beach with beautiful views and the occasional brave surfer. La Push beach 2 is awesome, no more than a 2 mile hike in to camp. There are camp grounds in the woods just next to the beach. If you go, consider bringing a garbage bag or bear-proof food container, because racoons know when people are around.
If its big sandy beaches you are after, Hoquiam has pretty cool (huge) flat expanses of beach. I don't think camping is permitted on this reservation however.
